Daniele Brolli was born in Rimini in 1959. A writer, painter, comics artist and screenwriter, he is the moving force in the Italian comics scene and has participated in the creation of many magazines and publishing houses.

Yvan Alagbé
SOLO

An emblematic figure of the alternative scene of the French comics and one of the most prominent representatives of small press comic, he was born in Paris in 1971. Meeting Olivier Marboeuf was decisive for his career. Marboeuf urged him to give up his university studies and commit himself to comics.

Elena Navrozidou
SOLO

Elena Navrozidou studied fine arts and scene setting in France and holds a PhD at the University of Aegean. Since 1985, she has organized a lot of exhibitions (Paris, Athens, Kea, Thessaloniki, and Beijing). Her comics have been published in Para Pente and Babel.

Cleopatra Charitou

Cleopatra Charitou was born in Athens. She studied photography in New York, Athens, and London. Since 2005 she has been living and working in Athens. She has published three albums and has presented seven solo exhibitions.

Kostas Maniatopoulos
SOLO

Kostas Maniatopoulos was born in Athens. A comics artist, he has publishes since 1989 in various magazines and fanzines (self-publications). He is the co-founder of “Braz-ill” and “To Mouni Mou Mesa”. He has organized a lot of solo exhibitions.

Lazaros Zikos

Publishing already since the middle of the 1970‘s, at a very young age, Lazaros Zikos left a rich artistic work endowed with a distinct personal touch.

As in previous editions, the main body of the festival is a group exhibition of Greek comic designers who create original stories on the theme of the festival. This year 27 known and younger artists are involved:

The exhibition presents posters designed by Thessaloniki graphic designers and shows the development of graphic design in the city during the last three decades. The posters were collected for the publication of the book with the same title by Red Creative.

Spiros Derveniotis & Alexia Othonaiou

Spiros Derveniotis was born in Athens in 1969. Since his first appearance in 1986, he has been working non-stop as a political cartoonist and comics creator for a variety of local papers and magazines.

Maria Karathanou

She studied painting, sculpture and stage design at the School of Fine Arts, on Technical University of Crete and attended seminars in Greece and abroad.

Andreas Karaoulanis

Andreas Karaoulanis comes from Computer Science studies and Animation. His current work deals with interactive media design and animation. He has present his work in Museum Of London, Moscow, Paris and in various Galleries and spaces around Europe.

Lefteris Kiourtsoglou

Lives in Athens.He started working as a book illustrator and afterwards he involved with sculpture and animation. He loves sailing and expensive golden pocket watches. He grew up solving crosswords.

Viktor Koen

Viktor Koen holds a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design in Jerusalem, Israel and an MFA with honors from the School of Visual Arts. Viktor serves on the faculty of SVA in the Graduate and Undergraduate levels.
