This is a major retrospective exhibition for one of the most famous artists worldwide. Dave McKean, born in 1963, in Berkshire, is an English illustrator, photographer, comic book artist, graphic designer, filmmaker and musician. He has demonstrated ingenious talent in “Cages” and collaborated with the writer Neil Gaiman on “Violent Cases” and “Black Orchid”. His work incorporates drawing, painting, photography, collage, found objects, digital art, and sculpture. He has done covers for magazines, books, and albums, children’s books, commercials, short films, video projects, and live performances as a jazz pianist. The overwhelming bulk of his creative production has rightfully earned him the title “artistic volcano. ”Narcolepsy” is presented in Europe for the first time and it includes originals from McKean famous comics, book covers, record covers, photographs, and video art.
